Standard Construction Process
Professional torch-applied installation methods ensure strong bonding, reliable sealing, and long-lasting waterproof performance for various construction projects.
Base Surface Preparation
Clean dust, debris, loose materials, and uneven areas from the substrate. Ensure the surface is solid, flat, dry, and free from standing water before applying primer.
Detail Reinforcement Treatment
Install additional SBS membrane layers at critical areas such as corners, pipe penetrations, drainage channels, and expansion joints.
Membrane Layout & Positioning
Arrange the membrane according to the project design and roof slope. Pre-position the rolls and mark alignment lines to ensure accurate installation.
Torch Application & Rolling
Heat the underside of the membrane with a torch until the asphalt layer melts, then roll forward while pressing firmly to achieve complete bonding.
Overlap Welding & Sealing
Heat the overlap areas and press them together. Ensure sufficient asphalt flow at joints to create sealed connections without gaps or edge lifting.
Water Testing & Protective Layer Installation
Perform a 24–48 hour water test after installation. Apply mortar, concrete, or insulation protection layers where required.
